本书前言

人工智能技术的快速发展和行业应用已成为当前人们关注的热点之一,人工智能第三次浪潮加速了全球生产、生活方式的转变,催生了诸如智慧城市、智慧农业、智慧医疗、智慧教育、智慧工厂、智能交通、智力游戏等新兴行业的蓬勃发展。

随着人工智能热度的不断增长,大量的初学者和相关技术人员希望尽快进入该领域进行理论学习、实践演练和行业应用。然而,市面上讲述人工智能入门实践的相关书籍还较少,尤其针对大学低年级学生的人工智能实践类教材更是稀缺。为此,本着着力服务国家人工智能高等教育的大战略,本书依托“国家新闻出版改革发展项目库入库项目”进行编著。

本书面向人工智能相关领域的初学者,系统介绍人工智能领域的基本概念,以及当前流行的相关工具包和深度学习框架,使读者在简单了解人工智能技术的基础上,就可以借助软件工具包自行动手编写代码,解决基本的模式识别问题,并通过不断拓展,由点到面,由易到难,逐步学会分析和解决实际行业问题,为踏入人工智能领域打好基础,增强学生应用人工智能技术服务国家的责任感和使命感。

本书具有如下几个特点:

1.突出入门,面向人工智能初学者

本书主要面向人工智能相关领域的初学者,如人工智能相关专业研究生、本科生、高职生的低年级学生。读者无需具备非常深入的专业知识,只要具备基础的Python编程能力和基本的数学基础,就可以学习本书。

2.突出实践,也兼顾必要的理论和概念

作为人工智能入门实践教材,书中重点介绍了人工智能相关算法的使用方法,使读者了解常用算法的接口、应用场景和效果等内容。书中同时介绍了人工智能相关的基本概念和基本原理,但对于算法的深层次的理论内容点到为止,以激励读者进行后续更加深入的学习。

3.突出应用,以解决实际问题为目标

本书首先讲授Numpy、Pandas、Matplotlib等人工智能工具包的特点和使用方法,使读者系统掌握对各种数据的生成、载入、处理和展示等操作,然后在此基础上系统介绍机器学习工具包Sklearn的特点和使用方法,最后重点介绍PyTorch等深度学习框架的使用方法,以及在计算机视觉、自然语言处理以及语音处理等实际问题中的应用。

4.突出开源,提倡互动

本书的所有代码均已开源(https://gitee.com/flycity/ai_tutorial_book/),有兴趣的读者可自行下载学习,也鼓励在示例代码的基础上进一步修改完善来解决实际应用问题。学习过程中有任何问题均可在开源平台中与作者互动。

本书共有七章,主要内容如下:

第一章绪论。简要介绍了人工智能的发展及当前第三次浪潮对当代社会的影响。介绍了模式识别与机器学习的基本概念和常用机器学习工具包。

第二章数据处理。介绍了基于Python的常见数据处理方法,Numpy和Pandas工具包的基础知识和基本数据操作方法,以及Matplotlib工具包的基础绘图方法。

第三章机器学习工具包Sklearn实战。本章首先论述机器学习基本概念和原理,然后介绍Sklearn工具包以及基于Sklearn的数据预处理方法和示例数据集等,最后给出有监督学习、无监督学习和半监督学习等多个实战示例。

第四章深度学习基础。重点介绍了人工神经网络的起源和发展,深度学习基本原理和概念以及常见深度学习框架和平台。

第五章PyTorch基础。介绍了PyTorch基本概念,如张量、自动求导等。重点论述了PyTorch神经网络工具箱和常用工具,并通过回归实战示例总结了基于PyTorch进行数据处理和模型设计、训练及测试的一般方法。

第六章PyTorch实战——计算机视觉。首先介绍了计算机视觉常见的处理任务。然后介绍了手写数字识别、目标检测、实例分割和图像生成等任务的若干实战示例。

第七章PyTorch实战——自然语言处理。首先介绍了自然语言处理的常见任务和重要的词嵌入技术。然后介绍了中文文本分类、命名实体识别、诗词生成等任务的若干实战示例。

本书由肖波和梁孔明编著,对全书内容进行策划和统筹。肖波主笔完成了第一章到第五章及第七章内容,梁孔明主笔完成了第六章,并对全书进行了校对。本书在写作过程中也得到了同事及学生们的大力支持和帮助。特别感谢郭军教授、杨洁教授对本书内容的总体指导,感谢徐蔚然副教授、张洪刚副教授、胡佳妮副教授对书中各章节提出了重要的修改意见。感谢研究生樊常林、方能、李琦、邵琦、周通、谷桐等提供了大量的实践案例和素材。

本书既可以作为人工智能相关专业研究生、本科生、高职生的入门实验教学教材,也可作为对人工智能技术感兴趣的初学者学习和实践的参考书籍,还可以供相关领域的工程技术人员参阅。
